Research notes
My research takes place in different contexts, from universities to artistic research centers, including many times smoky bars and everyday spaces. It is located somewhere at the intersections of scientific and artistic practice, specially influenced by computer science, physics and mathematics, observing criticisms to the positivism, realism, and cientific relativism.
My artistic research includes live coding practices, with a special focus on interactive real-time creation integrating machine learning models. I have developed algorithms for symbolic learning (rule extraction) and deep neural networks for sound modeling, synthesis and generation.
My practice folows a from scratch approach that seeks to develop the tools used within the creation process as an integral part of it.
I also believe that research is a collective process carried out by communities rather than individuals and therefore it should be a free and open space for everyone.
